Popular tourist destinations on Vancouver Island abound. There is no shortage of things to see and sights to take in.
PACIFIC UNDERSEA GARDENS. The Pacific Undersea Gardens is located in the inner harbour of Victoria and gives a view into an underwater wonderland. It descends 15 feet beneath the ocean and features fantastic views of the natural yet protected aquariums. It also boasts dive shows and a tidal pond where there is the opportunity to handle many of the marine species of the area.
THE EMPRESS HOTEL. Located in the inner harbour of Victoria, The Empress Hotel is not just a grand place to stay. Many take advantage of their luxurious spa or their world famous English afternoon tea.
CHEMAINUS MURALS. The town of Chemainus is home to the worlds largest outdoor art gallery featuring numerous murals and sculptures. Visitors can take a heritage tour by horse and carriage or a self guided walking tour to take in all the art work. Chemainus is also a divers paradise as it has the worlds only artificial reef constructed from a sunken Boeing 737.
THE ROYAL LONDON WAX MUSEUM. The Wax museum located in the inner harbour of Victoria features hundreds of wax figures of historical, royal and political persons.
THE BUTCHART GARDENS. The Butchart Gardens is located in Brentwood Bay in the Greater Victoria area. It consists of 22 hectares of floral displays and gardens. A two hour leisurely stroll will take you around the entire gardens and there are three different restaurants in which to enjoy a meal amidst the floral beauty.
