PACIFIC RIM WHALE FESTIVAL - public events and festivities to celebrate and witness the annual migration of the Gray Whale. Located in Tofino, Ucluelet, Port Alberni, Port Renfrew and other areas. Peak times are March and April.

GREAT WALK - The toughest pledge walk in North America raises money for charity. A 63 km walk through the beautiful scenery between Gold River and Tahsis.

JAZZ FEST INTERNATIONAL - 10 days and nights in June in Victoria. Both indoor and outdoor venues around the city.

FILBERG FESTIVAL - 4 day festival at the Filberg Heritage Lodge and Park in Comox. Takes place over the BC day long weekend and features artisans and entertainment.

COWICHAN EXHIBITION - The family fun fair in Duncan September 3 to 6th.

NANAIMO MARINE FESTIVAL - The world famous 48km bathtub race from Nanaimo to Vancouver, takes place in July.

VICTORIA FRINGE THEATRE FESTIVAL - Takes place over the Labour day long weekend. Theatre troops from around the world and locally entertain with performances at venues all around Victoria.

ANNUAL ENGLISH CAR AFFAIR IN THE PARK - located in Victoria and features over 100 vintage British cars.

TOFINO ART IN THE GARDENS - September 12 - 13th, a 2 day festival celebrating visual and performing arts.

ALBERNI DISTRICT FALL FAIR - Takes place in Port Alberni September 10 - 13th and features a midway, loggers sports and a parade.
